Treatment: There is treatment for those who suffer from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, but unfortunately many individuals who have this disorder refuse to seek treatment and will often deny they have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. 1. Counseling is one recommended and common treatment. The most effective type of counseling is a type of cognitive-behavior therapy called exposure and response prevention. It consists of exposing the individual to the obsession that causes anxiety, starting from moderate to extreme. 2.
